For the Haiti Challenge, the Architecture for Humanity team provided on-the-ground reports from Haiti.
Perhaps over the long weekend, you’ll have time to inspect the schools we’ve been working within Haiti. These schools have all reached out to Architecture for Humanity and StudentsRebuild for funds for reconstruction. In some cases, our team on the ground has already explored schematic designs. Visit each school’s Project Page on the Open Architecture Network, read their stories and see the ideas brewing for a new generation of education in Haiti!

The Open Architecture Network features humanitarian architecture projects from across the world. Some have been built are in use, others are in the design and construction process–but the OAN posts updates on the progress of all these projects–including our schools in Haiti–and they are built and eventually turned over to the people they’ve been designed for. The “Open Source” nature of the OAN means that all information and documents of the featured architecture projects can be shared freely with any interested party.
