Announcing a special opportunity for SR Teachers!

We are excited to announce that we’re partnering again with PBLWorks (formerly BIE; Buck Institute for Education) to create an in-depth Project-Based Learning unit for in support of our next Students Rebuild (SR) Challenge. Through this opportunity, you’ll be able to enrich your own teaching through significant professional development, co-create instructional resources for our next Challenge, and influence the future participation of thousands of students and educators around the world.

Here are the details:

Each of the eight selected educators will be offered the opportunity to:

  • Attend PBL World in Napa Valley, CA from June 17-20, 2019.
  • Collaborate with a PBLWorks National Faculty to consult and refine a new PBL unit in support of a new Students Rebuild Challenge.
  • Commit to implement the PBL unit with your students in the 2019-20 school year.
  • Share your learnings with the SR and PBLWorks community!

All expenses associated with participation in this opportunity will be covered by Students Rebuild- an over $3,000 value!

Here is who is eligible:

  • Elementary, middle and high school educators currently teaching in the United States. We are particularly interested in teachers who serve students who are traditionally furthest from opportunity.
  • Teachers that have participated in at least one Students Rebuild Challenge and are enthusiastic about our mission.
  • Classroom teachers that can commit to utilizing the new unit created in their classrooms during the 2019-2020 school year. Teachers can teach in any discipline; General Education, Social Studies, Science, Math, English etc.
  • Teachers must be able to commit to the full experience and the items in the timeline noted above.
